“I appreciate Cesar’s approach so much and I’m always looking forward to our sessions. I’m a latina woman and aspiring body-builder, so when I read about Cesar and what he’s creating with Inclusive Massage East Bay, I was very intrigued. I intuitively knew that chronic pain is caused by repressed emotions, but it was so amazing to see that Cesar is building his whole practice around it. He creates a safe container where we can work together to release that deep pain. These are the main points I want to highlight: 1. The touch is specific and functional. I describe what I’m feeling, issues/concerns I’m having in the gym, and he gets to work. I leave feeling balanced, lighter, and better. 2. It's empowering. After a session, Cesar will show me how to roll or stretch on my own at home for a particular muscle group that needs the extra attention. 3. It's healing. The pressure and movement that he applies is perfect for what I need. 4. It’s nurturing. I’m a woman and prior to working with Cesar, I had never truly felt comfortable with a male massage therapist. After reading his web page, learning about his approach, and having the initial consult phone call, I really wanted to try it out. I really do feel like he is taking care of me when I’m in his space, and I appreciate it very much. 5. It's safe. Cesar is respectful of boundaries, gentle but firm in his touch, and patient. Cesar is very intuitive, attentive and clearly understands body mechanics on a deep level. For over 25 years, I have had the opportunity to work with a wide spectrum of bodyworkers and movement professionals. César has an array of attributes that make him a superlative practitioner. Real bodywork is dependent on genuine contact. That quality goes far beyond technical skill. Sincerity, groundedness, curiosity and reverence emanates throughout the session. Coming out of the isolation of the pandemic, I wanted my first massage to be in a safe space. My relationship with my body has changed and I was seeking a practitioner who was empathetic, gender-affirming, and inclusive. Well, I received my massage last week and it was exactly what I wanted.
