Terms and Policies

Your therapy times are reserved exclusively for you. We value your business and ask that you respect the following scheduling policies. Should you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance.
Any cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may be subject to a cancellation fee of 100% of the session price. If we are able to rebook the time, the fee may be waived.
All services require a credit card to be placed on file in order to finalize your appointment. You will not be billed unless there is a late cancellation or no show. After your session you may choose your method of payment. You are not obligated to use the credit card used to make the reservation.
-
We understand that unanticipated events occur in everyone’s life. Unforeseen events such as car problems, business meetings and children’s illnesses, are just a few reasons why one might consider canceling a massage appointment.
However, I ask that you notify us as soon as possible if you cannot keep your appointment. Clients who miss their appointments without giving any prior notification will be charged in full for the scheduled service. When you miss an appointment, we not only lose your business, but also the opportunity to support other clients who could have scheduled an appointment for the same time.

Based on a “pay it forward” system, this is offered to low-income QT/BIPOC. The normal cancellation policy applies, with the difference being that there is a flat $90 late cancellation/no-show fee.

Massage Therapy is a profession in which the practitioner applies manual techniques, and may apply adjunctive therapies, with the intention of positively affecting the health and well-being of the client. Certified Massage Therapists neither diagnose nor prescribe for medical conditions. We may recommend that you see a medical doctor for diagnosis or treatment. Massage therapy is not intended as an alternative for proper medical attention for specific conditions. Please refer to a medical doctor for any specific condition which requires medical treatment.
-
If you choose to disrobe, intimate areas will always be securely draped. Only the area being massaged will be uncovered. You will be kept informed of the area to be massaged.
If receiving abdominal massage, the chests of all clients will be draped regardless of gender or physical presentation.
-
We are more than happy to adjust the pressure, temperature, or music volume; as well as work longer on a specific area or move on if you request it. As the client, you may choose to: leave on as much clothing as needed for your comfort, refuse any massage methods, pause or stop massage at any time. Sexual interaction or discussion of any kind between the client and the massage therapist is NEVER appropriate.
-
We treat all client visits and conditions as confidential. As such, we will not discuss your visit with anybody else without your express permission.
You may choose to talk or remain silent during the massage: We will follow your lead. Either way, we will periodically check in with you to see how you’re doing.
-
It is the responsibility of the client to keep the massage therapist informed of any medical treatment currently being taken, and to provide written permission from the physician, chiropractor, physical therapist, etc. for the massage if required. The client must also keep the massage therapist informed of any changes in health conditions. There are many medical conditions for which massage is contraindicated, so it is crucial that we are informed.
For clients undergoing chemo and radiation therapies – Please note that we require a doctor’s note stating that your doctor is aware of and agrees to your participation in massage therapy.
-
When possible, we ask that you please make an effort to wash up before your session. A hot shower would also serve the purpose of helping you to relax and warm up your muscles, allowing my work to sink deeper. This maximizes the therapeutic effect of your massage time.
-
Each massage therapist on staff reserves the right to end a massage session if they feel uncomfortable as a result of the actions or words of the client. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who will not abide by each and every one of the above listed policies. Examples of behaviors that will result in the termination or refusal of service include but are not limited to: violence, or threat of violence toward us or someone else; commentary of a sexual nature; sexual advances of any kind; hate speech of any variety. Actions such as these will result in the termination of your session, and payment in full.
